The Next Chapter

Well, it happened. I GRADUATED WITH MY MASTER'S DEGREE!!!!!!!!!

I'm just a little thrilled to be done with school.

YAY for the empty diploma cover!
It was a fun, blissfully short ceremony (like 1 or 1.5 hours compared to Texas A&M's 500000 hours). And it felt pretty good to be standing there with my master's hood, looking at the undergraduates who were just beginning their lives. I was in their places what...five years ago? Yikes.

My mom, dad, brother, sister, grandparents, and Philip all came down for the ceremony, which was even more fun. And I got to meet one of the girls from my online classes and hang out with her! We all went to The Pump House Riverside Restaurant in Victoria after commencement, where I feasted on nachos. That's right. A super fancy place, and I got nachos. Wanna fight about it? It's my party and I'll fiesta if I want to!

I'm super excited to start the next chapter of my life: the job search chapter. And I say that with all the sarcasm I can muster, haha. I am really looking forward to the new opportunities that will be opened up to me now and maybe FINALLY getting out of College Station. Just have to get over the job searching hurdle!

In sadder news, I've decided that since I will be moving to probably Houston or Dallas/Fort Worth, I NEED to sell at least one of my horses. If not two. Since I'm not having much luck with Sienna, I've decided to try to sell Rosa instead, even though she's not where I wanted to get with her yet (aka going nicely under saddle). I'm just stressing so much over where I'm going to live and how I'm going to afford to keep one horse, let alone three. So I'm trying to be proactive instead.

But no matter what, I'm trying to trust God for my future! I just have to remember that *I* am not the one ultimately in control.

Congrats, Class of 2014!
